Mid Term Break

Hey guys,

Having a week's break now. So just chilling and doing nothing at the moment, though gotta start mugging up during this break for the test right after my awesome break.

Tonight there'll be a gathering for peiloon as he's leaving for japan god-knows-when. Wish him all the best in life and hope he'll get a real japanese hottie there. :P

Seems like everyone's trying to SHOW OFF their travel pics. Gonna post a few here. Since i just got back from VIETNAM, LAOS and CAMBODIA.

That Luang in Vientiane, Laos (=perhaps that's the only significant landmark there)

Halong Bay, Vietnam (looks darn artistic. taken by one of my friends. Was a great place. Met a couple of friends- Japanese, Korean, Australians, Singaporeans cum Vietnamese...)

Countdown in Hanoi, Vietnam (=you'll never understand the meaning of stampede until you've been there. no fireworks to herald the new year. So was standing like a schmuck and was totallly clueless when it was the new year!)

Sunrise in Angkor Wat, Cambodia (=Angkor Wat is overrated!! not as great as what it seems, unless you're into history, which is a different story altogether)

Dog-licking good dog meat in Sapa, Vietnam (=stop the whole hype thing about it. It's just meat, and not much difference with pork. except of course you're eating your best friend!weird!)

Kuang Si Waterfall in Luang Prabang, Vietnam (one of the heritage sites conferred upon by UNESCO. Look at the waterfall, not the handsome dudes! PS i was wearing slippers for my backpacking jaunt, and nearly fell to my death climbing the steep slope!)

To cap it off, what would it be without a picture of yours-truly. Nothing beats Aussie by a mile (wipe that smirk off, lene) but was great this time around going with buddies.

Wish me a great trip in June. Jakarta, Bali, Kuching, KK here i come. Philippine's off my list for now. But won't be long before i drop by.
