烦恼，像个小孩，他们会说玩是我最大的乐趣，我很喜欢玩，我什么都会玩人多的时候他们脸上总挂着笑容，好多人都会羡慕他们，然而这其实是他们最悲哀的地方，他们不想让别人看到自己难过的一面，更没有能力一个人独处，因为当夜深人静的时候，他不知道一个人会发生什么事，坐在窗前冥想走过的点滴

没有人读的懂他们，想着想着貌似快乐的他们就会黯然流下一脸的悲伤，然后自己对自己说：其实也没什么，命运吧！所以他们就整天逼自己笑，以此来逃避那些常人所不能不承受的痛苦！

他们貌似很坚强，因为在别人看来，他们什么事都能微笑着去面对，但事实上他们长着世界上最脆弱的心灵，只是长期的伪装使得别人很难发现他们内心深处的创伤。他们其实非常孤独，虽然看到他们时都是在跟一群人谈天说地，那是因为他们实在不能承受一个人时的折磨！

他们只想简简单单、快快乐乐的活着，期待并且相信每个人给的笑容都是真心的，希望身边的人都是真正的喜欢自己。即使别人小小的意见，也会另他们难过好久，他们真的真的很介意，介意自己不被人喜欢。因为，他们总是为别人想的很多，对别人总是比对自己好；把能对喜欢的人好当做幸福，喜欢别人比喜欢自己多。

他们总是那样，前一秒还伤心的流着泪，后一秒出现在朋友面前的时候，已经满脸溢着灿烂的笑容。有人说他们是向日葵，是的，他们在意的人就像是太阳，在面对太阳的时候永远是明艳的花瓣，而太阳照不到的背面，那悲伤藏得那么好，不愿被看见。

他们向往放纵自由的生活，却必须为了谁很努力的朝另外的一个方向活着，很累很累，却仍是心甘情愿。离自己的梦境越来越来远，不得不面对从未想过的争夺和复杂，恐慌、不知所措。只有面对最信赖的人时，才会卸下盔甲，委屈的流下眼泪。因为在他们心里，笑就是开心，哭就是难过，接近就是喜欢，远离就是讨厌。但其实不是，他们明白了，心好伤，眼泪就没忍住。哭过之后，笑笑得擦干眼泪，说，没关系，我可以做的很好的。

他们好像无所不能，好像总是不会有烦恼，好像什么问题都能轻而易举的解决，总是喜欢喜欢出现在流泪的人面前，笑嘻嘻的逗着笑。而面对自己的问题，他们却茫然无措，面对自己的悲伤，他们只会躲在人们看不见的角落里慢慢由伤口越裂越大。

他们的想法非常简单，说出来的就是心里所想的，肚子里不会拐七道八道的小弯，无心的话可能会引起别人的误解。所以，请别记恨他们，他们从不愿伤害谁，小小的错误就能让他们懊悔很久。

他们其实非常单纯，甚至你曾经给了他一个微笑他也会一辈子记得你的好，因此他们的世界观其实也很简单，他们很容易受蛊惑，请不要轻易的伤害他们的感情，因为一旦伤害了，那就将永远弥补不回来！如果你身边有这种人请你给予他（她）那怕是凤毛麟角的那点关怀，让他（她）知道这个世界没有抛弃他们

went jakarta during the weekend. the disappointment is the city is kinda unsystematic although advanced. and jam like HELL! however there is one thing that impress me so much, i.e the MALLS! seriously, kl's pale in comparison to jakarta's. totally! it's so high end. many brands i've never heard of. even the cold storage is impressive, those brands that u can't even see in kl. and of course, the price are IMPRESSIVE TOO! plus, there are many chinese in jakarta. all of them FILTHY rich, they way they dress, the place they eat, u can tell. but all of them speaking indonesian la. that i still can't get used too.

but i suppose almost everyone of you are back in uni now,eh? i can see everyone feeling reluctant to go back after few days or a week back in hometown.hometown is still forever the best,everyone agrees? this explains why i'm still happy even though i've been rotting at home for 2 months already. it's boring,but i would call it relaxing. no pressure,no stress,no cursing at obnoxious people...whatever.i love home. :)

unfortunately,time flies.my 2 months plus of holidays has finally come to an end.melbourne is calling me back.the cruelty from the reality is here to welcome me.you just don't know how much trouble i'll get when i go back. sounds like i'm some sort of refugee,huh?

i can't deny it,my heart still breaks whenever i had to leave,after 4 years of going to and fro between this country and that country.don't complain that you can't study overseas,cuz you don't know how fortunate you are that you can go back home at anytime you want,while us..gotta always consider the flight ticket price and whatever currency we own to get it.

but anyway,it's a great pleasure to meet everyone i want.no matter what happens,you'll realize that old friends are still the best to hang out with.it's gonna be my final year in uni,so first things first i'm gonna state here that i'm sorry if i'm always the first one to say gtg or ttyl in conversation.not that i want to,but when i really get tied down with work,it's really inconvenient for me to work on my projects and chat at the same time.i really suck at multitasking. heh.

oh and if anyone wanna attend my graduation (which i'm sure no one can afford to.lol.),do tell me. i know it's too early lah,but don't care. i'll give anyone a humongous hug if anyone can.woohoo! wth.

i'm not sure when i'll be back here,cuz i'm sure that i won't be back for winter holidays nor on the dec.maybe next year's CNY? but one thing for sure,i'll be back one day!

Bee Yin asked me to update the blog some time back. Being busy I forgot all about it until right now. And I didn't even mean to write, until I saw Lene's and HC's post.

1st about Lene's post.

Why would you wanna meet him on 13th February? It's sweet that he asked you out on that morning but as someone who knows him really well ( I would like to think I'm right on this point ) , I would have to share a valiant point with you, something that I shouldn't probably share publicly and would faced with severe consequence. But as a courageous boy who stands up for what he thinks it's right, I should tell you guys this (pardon all the crap. that's call introduction to entice the audience. it's what we learned in writing class) he's a deliciously devious evil creature! As one who's farsighted, I'm pretty sure that's his technique of putting his guilt to rest since he won't make it for the first day of CNY gathering. He'll say he'll try his best to make it, but once we meet up on 13th February, he'll come to the conclusion that well: I've met with my buddies now I can choose not to go to the gathering.

ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, we must never ever let him choose that path out. you know why?? Coz we're teaching him the right way, we're teaching him to be a man, we're teaching him that friends are important. WE WANT THAT FREAKING EVIL CREATURE TO BE THERE ON THE FIRST DAY OF CNY! WE LOVE HIM DON'T WE!

2nd about hancheng's post

hmmmm I really do love to think that Avatar's one of the best movies of all time. The storyline is undoubtedly banal, characters cliched, but the fact that I've watched it twice and yet don't seem to be bored in the least. I watched the flick in San Francisco for the first time. We were supposed to go to the theater but somehow we met two people along the way and we ended up at the wrong theater watching 'Up In the Air'. Second night we made it and we forked out 17USD for an IMAX 3D Avatar experience. The whole theater was chock-a-block. Loved the 3D experience! It's like you could touch all the plants and furry stuff that Eywa spits out. ROFL!

Second time watched that in Penang, albeit a normal w/o 3D experience. Yet I still was enticed by the plot and storyline and could even hear the dialogues better (since we went for a late night show the first time and I was a little sleepy). Let me explain why it's one of the best movies despite its originality, or rather lack-of.

1. Which movie shows you BLUE creatures which could spout out weird accents and still look like humans? Well the only blue creature animated film is probaly the Smurfs, and they're ANIMATED. AVATAR looks real. you can almost see the nipples of Neygiri if you look closely!

2. Which movie can provide you smart dance moves and cat-callling noises? even long after you've seen the movie??!! remember the part where Grace is dying and all of the BLUE creatures suddenly lapsed into a weird shoulder-joined dance and head rocking moves?? Man that's better than Michael Jackson's moondance. you know why? coz the Avatar dance can be performed by many at one time. I've tried it! it's fun. and the cat-calling noise before they jump on the ikran?? man that's sweet .just admit it. it's a fun sight to behold!

3. which movie can for once, make you hate the human race for a period and love the BLUE creatures. Man we've been portrayed as saints all along. Man VS aliens bla bla bla. for once we love the blue creatures!!

4. The movie expounds on different ways of love making. bodies entwined with their ponytails flapping, isn't that a little distracting? but who am i to judge? jake sully definitely enjoys that!

and Lastly for the girls, don't you feel happy when you go to the theaters with your bf. for once you don't have to worry about him oggling at the seminaked hotties. just face it, neygiri is downright ugly!! even tho you can see her tits no sane looking man would wanna see that!! and michelle rodriguez barely appears on the screen. so forget about her. your boyfriend for once, ,would most probably be focussing on the plot instead of un-Megan Fox-like Neygiri.

shoot. I didn't save the last bit and the article's different.. hmmm what was i writing about? oh yeah

Jackie chan's english sucks hard (hmm don't mean it in an obscene way)

and the dialogues are so so so corny. the script writers make the two kids say out weird sounding dialogues and it sounds like they were collected and mismatched from all movies. you've heard all the dialogues before. and you've seen alot of movies (ahem such as me) you'll realize that they hail from many movies.

Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a rockethigh 8%. i would give it a 2% to be honest.

It's one of the WORST movies! oh yeah i don't mind saying that the second time. coz i nearly fell asleep and wanna walk out!

Greatest movie of all time?

alright, after reading and listening to so many nice reviews and comments about avatar from friends and articles, i finally went to watch it today. took me so long because i heard that some ppl even committed suicide after watching it, i had to ready my heart lol.

but well, kinda disappointed after watching it. not that its not a good movie. its a great one, visual wise. the land of pandora is breathtaking and i personally love the flying part, it was awesome! the ending theme song is good too. i'd like to download it from somewhere somehow. however, the storyline is definitely not new and original. alright, the modern tech and stuffs are new (reminds me of star trek though). but to me, its basically a sci-fi version of pocahontas. the plot is too predictable.

to give a few examples (if you guys watched and still remember the Disney Pocahontas):

the sky people resembles British settlers from the Virginia Company (both went to a foreign land for riches and warring the indigenes)
Pandora resembles the North America (both were beautiful lands and the indigenes fight to protect them)
Neytiri resembles Pocahontas (both are the heroin and fall for a foreign guy, though initially both were supposed to marry the local tribe warrior. and guess what? the place of the romance happens to be around spiritual trees as well. what a coincidence huh?)
Jake Sully resembles John Smith (love interest of the heroin, who betrayed his 'own people' in favour of the indigenes, fought alongside them, and at one time were about to be executed by the indigenes)

The major difference is John went back to England while Jake stays in pandora. and oh, another difference is they make love using ponytails. awesome.

Overall, i would say that the movie is worth watching, though a little bit overrated. its not as moving as some said (had goosebumps when i heard those war-cries, but definitely not feeling suicidal), though it did made me wonder whether killing your own people to protect something and someone you only knew since 3 months ago is morally correct. of course, i wouldn't want some morons to destroy such a great piece of land just because of greed either. so yeah, its a catch-22 situation. but then again, that's human.

P.S: michelle rodriguez is freaking hawt! <3

Went to Kuantan again. bought a T-shirt only... beh ki la shopping here. only bought a shirt. Kuantan is just like A/S. Not much entertainment and leisure. Sienz....

Then i went for a haircut. This was an unforgettable experience..

I told the gal that i want a haircut. She asked me want to wash hair or not. and I agreed. While waiting for the barber, that gal washed my hair 1st. She massaged my head while washing. Ok lo..

Then, she asked me to sit while do not lean against the chair. Ok lo. then she massaged my shoulder, neck. Still OK lo. Meanwhile, i noticed that she started to massage my back, further by massaging my waist!! That time i got something flashed in my mind: Is this saloon also provide special 'service'? Gosh..! that time i really did have 生理反应, since she massaged that part near my waist..!! Crap!!

Next she said it's time to wash my hair. As the adv. stated, you'll get a facial cleansing for free if you washed your hair. But i did not know about this (I asked my friend and realized..). She asked me to close my eyes. Ok lo. She asked me whether i need her help to shave my beard. Oh Goshh...!! Again, i guessed this shop provides special 'service'. Once again, the biological response.. ehem~ I wait until she finished the washing and cleansing. Finally, done my haircut and I asked my friend. They also curious why i got the massage since there's not stated that massaging is included. I was teased for 'awarding' the massage. o.0

After that, we had our lunch here. The Black Canyon Cafe. Heard it b4? I tried this for the 1st time. Surprisingly, it was appetizing and delicious at a reasonable price. Especially the tomyam soup. sour enough and stimulates my every taste buds. ^^ the chicken with special sauce harmonise with the stir-fried vege and the Rice. Finally ends up with a refreshing melon juice. Wow~!

Tzu Chi members

Watched this movie in 3D this Wednesday (though quite slow...==). Outing with friends and Tzu Chi members. The theatre 3D surround sound and the splendid pictures. Wow~ Worth it though it's RM16. But my eyeballs are not comfortable after wearing the special specs. Rate it 9.5 out of 10. After that, I had a tantalizing vege meal for my dinner. I cant believe that those are vege. *thumb's up*

what can i say?

first of all, an early Happy Chinese New Year to everyone here!
this year's cny is a bit different. (mr gee in US and even my bro won't be celebrating it with me for the first time >.<) i don't know if i can attend this coming cny gathering. My mom always do things at whim, so its hard to predict. sorry guys.

on the discussion of human relationships, i must admit, i'm not philosophical, unlike hung, lene and hern. i believe my laziness is well known to all of you here. its very troublesome and pointless in my opinion to delve deep into these stuffs just to realize how helpless and insecure we are when it comes to human nature. but well, some found joy in contemplating. ^^

and about trust, i don't think the changing nature of human is a solid ground for distrust. trust is something that has to be earned. once its earned, it would not be broken easily unless you never trusted or truly understand the person you trust in the first place. people change (but rarely to the core), its inevitable and sometimes we just have to depend on our intuition. if you don't change people say you're immature or call you xiao di di (personal experience, not that i care much). perhaps the lack of an analytical mind and laziness to figure out the motive behind every action limits my exposure to this 'breaking of trust' thingy. trusting had never been real issue for me (i don't think i have lots of secrets, sadly). ignorance is bliss IMHO.

the bottom line is, less sensitive, less drama, happier life. and i surely hope i've done enough to earn your trust. and mind you, i've changed (though i still look as chubby as ever >.>) but i never felt i was apart with my best friends (not physically). being best friends, you should have faith in your knowledge of each other's character. not a moment of moodiness, sleepiness or tiredness should affect that easily. i'm lazy, yet i prefer spontaneity (ironic huh?). if i have something to share, i'll usually contact you guys straight away. (don't whine if i didn't do that all the time because i couldn't reach you when you're in US, Aus, HK, Japan, Indo or whatever). i hope that my reluctance to blog should not be used as a parameter for my 'commitment' to our friendships (my apology, my vocab sucks as much).

however, i will visit this place as often as i can from now on so that your thoughts will be heard and you can tell me how a tiny grain of sand influences your opinion of the universe. ^^ you have my word.

Sometimes you want to make yourself heard. And that's why you write a blog. Or you play facebook. Play might not be the word. But forgive me for my profound lack of vocabulary.

It has been a long time since I last read through our very own blog. I promised to upload regular postings but have gone against my word. Simply because it's a joint blog and no one seems to be interested in writing and partly due to the existence of facebook. This particular morning Lene's poetic work of art (I'm not sure if that's a poem. It might or it might not) set me up straight. It has an effect of stopping you right in your tracks and make you think: Hmm?? Kudos Lene. I'm not saying that I agree with what she has to put on the table, in fact I have to disagree with her (This very sentence would bring about a harsh beating on her part. And I would be the victim!) But chancing upon something which elicits something in you is as always, refreshing.

She shares her two cents on the very core of humanity, how people are slick creatures who change all the time and whether we are able to trust ourselves or others. Hmm I know it's a daunting task to try and wrap up her breathtaking piece in a mere sentence. And forgive me again if I did not do her justice. But my point here is are we that bad?

Was just listening to a talk the other day. To quote people may exploit us again again and again. Yet when every single time we choose to forgive we are buliding upon our spiritual wealth. Maybe we are measuring everything by the wrong scale. The world has conditioned us, to a certain extent, to try and measure ourselves and everyone based on what we can get out of it. A simple action of kindness might be actually be laced with selfish personal reasons. A friendship might sprung up just because we, as deluded as we are, think that the other person has something that we want. People can do that to us. It's their choice. But it's not them that matters. It eventually boils down to us and what actions we choose and how they chart out the road that we will be treading on.

Personal experiences tell me that I am bigger than my own problems-I am bigger than others. Don't get me wrong here. When I say I'm bigger than others, I do not allude that I am better than others and I should come first due to a sense of egoism. I mean I have the capacity to forgive, to learn and to let go. Whatever happens, whatever people do, I am bigger than that itself- I have a choice. To put that into my piggy bank of grudges. Or to smile, let go and be a better person. In every single entity is a seed of goodness. It might be temporarily clouded or covered but matter of fact is, it's still there.

It's funny when you have in mind what to write and when you start to write everthing comes out differently. I was planning to talk on other things but miraculously, I churned out an article that vaguely looks like above. Again miraculously might not be the word. But wth. I've asked you to forgive me on my limited reservoir of vocabulary. LOL

everyone has their own thoughts and opinions,
and actions reflects them.
they may be obvious,they may be purposely done.
human reacts,thus the cycle continues

what sparks and spices up everything is the greed within us.
don't say you're not greedy,
what you have and the intention of wanting more,
that's greed.
the only difference is that everyone has different levels of greed,
some would say it out loud
while commonly,some would keep it inside their hearts until the right time to lash it out.

isn't it fascinating?
intentions initiated,words twisted,emotions played
and human starts to influence one and another
to achieve what they want and maybe making the world go merry go round.

who can you trust from the start then?
the person you see everyday,
may not be the same person in the future.
even you yourself,
we grow,our mindset changes,
would you be able to trust yourself?

how much a person can change?
this can't be experimented through science,
nor can be calculated through physics,
nor can be dealt through business,
nor can be judged through law,
nor can be expressed through art..

no matter how skillful you are,
you can't see human relationship or the nature itself through the naked eyes.
everyone has their stories of their own and with the person connected to them.
which is the truth?
if you can find the truth,
would you believe the truth or are you gonna go based on your instincts?

no one is black and white.
all humans will always stay in the grey area.
don't you think so?

if you have read up to this point and whether you want to agree or disagree with me,
or whether you want to judge my nature,
i have successfully influenced you by stimulating your thoughts and opinions.
simple,yet so complicated,huh?

yesterday attended a friend's birthday celebration. somehow or rather, with no particular reason, i realised that we are all adults. Adults with heavier responsibilities, adults who have to handle the complexity of society, adults who need to work hard and smart to survive...otherwise, before we know it, we'll be eliminated. for those who survive, they will still be in the running, but the question is in the running for what? Conflict of interest is no more as simple as it is when we were in sec school. it has to be handled with care, wisely. birthday celeb ain't just simply celeb. a cake ain't just a cake. they have more profound meanings. celebrating for others feels more like an obligation instead of pure sincerity.

everybody seriously gotta contribute to this blog, otherwise it would be a dying entity, proving worthless to its founders. and so for today, gonna share my thoughts here in this cyberspace. after studying medic for a year, i must say it has sucked a whole of my mental energy, this energy particularly going to uploading my memories prior exam and of course the capability to download it on the day of exam itself which is indeed intensely exhausting. and yet the story doesn't end there, after a short break of 4 days for my 1st yr, and now 2 days for 2nd yr, we're back on battle field, once again doing our very best to catch up with the never ending medical knowledge that we as medical students are obligated to know, comprehend and practice in real life. after those hard work, u will see that sometimes and for some, most of the time, these hard works can easily prove futile which will dampen your spirit to continue moving on. yet, medical school allow little space for retreats, little time to yourself to lick your wounds, to think of how you can improvise your study methods to ensure you fare better in the next battle. yes, i'm tired, but i guess life goes on.

today.

Just a short personal insight of how the movies fared. If i'm only able to use 1 word to describe the movies, EASY!

The Proposal, 17 Again and The Hangover SUCK. Coincidentally these 3 movies have been screened in Malaysia ( not sure about The Proposal. But probably it'll be out by now, or some time soon)

Up's AWESOME! The movie will only be out in July. Conclusion's simple: Malaysia's arts authority are just complete morons, screening totaly douche movies ahead of movies that are worth a watch. Don't believe me, check out Rotten Tomatoes. It's a site where all the movies are judged and rated by a panel of judges and their reviews are definitely incisive.

UP scored a whopping 97% on the scale!

Speaking of good movies, Star Trek's a great one too. Watched it in Jakarta and the movie has all elements you're looking for - romance, comedy, valor etc

The 3 stated sucky movies have 1 huge common overlapping area - they're corny and you've seen the same theme countless times in other movies.

The Proposal - Boy meets girl, they squabble, they fall in love, happy

The Hangover - plays up the macho factor, a group of guys drives down to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, gets absolutely plastered and paints the town red (well it's the sin city. what'd ya expect?)

17 Again - Awww.. teenage heartthrob movies geared for soppy gals. Case in point- movies start off with Zac Efron shirtless playing with balls (oops. don't get the wrong meaning. but you get the idea) Zac Efron goes through a transformation. Zac Efron looks cool. A typical movie where a teenage actor is flexing his muscles in the movie landscape by showing that he can act (scenes are purposely created to evoke his emotions - he cries etc)

Sorry for being so negative.

Let's look at the bright side.

UP's a movie to look out for for those who want a great movie. It's about an old man who having lost his wife, lost hope of the world and started to cling to the memories of his wife. And how a boy came along and change all that. Throw in a few funny characters, a few tear-jerkers and pretty much you have the making of a great movie.

won't be studying html/xml stuffs since i've dropped it for this semester.

Indonesia trip ~ and back~

Well been some time since I last posted news. Just got back from a 'backpacking' trip to Jakarta and Bali. Tickets were booked to Kuching and KK but we chucked them away. Short on $$ esp after Bali and don't think that there's much to see in both cities (considering Jakarta didn't fare that well either, was pretty much similar to KL)

Jakarta was OK.

But Bali was awesome. Best memorable event of the trip was the dolphin + sunrise watching boating outing. Was out on a boat at dawn to catch a glimpse of the sunrise and busy hunting for dolphins ( figuratively hunting, aka looking out)

By the way, Pizza hut in Indonesia rocks! they've different types of spaghetti, salads, milkshakes and best of all- an appetizer dish consisting of mushrooms slightly sauteed in butter with dried chilli. Yum Yum!

Have you attended a crucial interview which is the determining factor of you getting what you really want?

And yet the interview goes something like this:

You walk into the room. You expect the interviewers to be asking you about yourself. They kickstart the interview by asking about your family. It vaguely reminds you of a Secondary Five interview. You act cool. You proceed by going into details. Then the crunch comes. The interviewer tells you this: Usually I'll ask the candidate the next question to determine whether he's a great personality. You cock up, ready to embrace the tough question that is thrown upon you. He opens his mouth and the question pops out: When was the last time you went to KFC with your family? You are totally taken aback. You blurt out some response which sounds like : my mother doesn't eat chicken! That's bullshit. But ain't bullshit deserved for an equally BS question? Next he asks you where you have traveled. You smile, tell him about your travel experiences and he asks again, when was the last time you travel with your family, what countries abroad have you visited. You feel it's getting weirder and weirder, and you have the urge to shout right at their faces: You are the one controlling my fate and you have the cheek to chuck crappy questions at me??!! Come on. Ask me about what I've accomplished so far. Ask me about my academics. Cocurricular activities. Anything ELSE!

Before you have the chance to do so, the interview session ends. Abruptly. You feel lost. Shake their hands. Strut out the room. And still feel lost.

Boys & gals ~ HELP needed : Cameras!!

Long story short, I got a camera from lelong.com.my. Got the camera but turned out to be a clumsy piece of shit. By the way it's misplaced and god knows where it is. Wanna get a new camera.

And Paulene just broached the topic on getting a camera.

Camera in my mind would be Canon Powershot SD1100IS/Canon Ixus 80IS(in Malaysia)

the BLUE one would be my first choice

It's near 1k in Malaysia. But only Rm600+ tops in US. Definitely a steal. The downside would be the warranty as it's only applicable within the States if you get it there.

DSLR would be too complicated. Compact digital would definitely be easier.

And the help requested if IF YOU'RE ANY KNOWLEDGE WHATSOEVER ON CAMERAS, WHERE TO GET THEM, OPINIONS care to let me know ya ! :P

Mid Term Break

Having a week's break now. So just chilling and doing nothing at the moment, though gotta start mugging up during this break for the test right after my awesome break.

Tonight there'll be a gathering for peiloon as he's leaving for japan god-knows-when. Wish him all the best in life and hope he'll get a real japanese hottie there. :P

Seems like everyone's trying to SHOW OFF their travel pics. Gonna post a few here. Since i just got back from VIETNAM, LAOS and CAMBODIA.

Halong Bay, Vietnam (looks darn artistic. taken by one of my friends. Was a great place. Met a couple of friends- Japanese, Korean, Australians, Singaporeans cum Vietnamese...)

Countdown in Hanoi, Vietnam (=you'll never understand the meaning of stampede until you've been there. no fireworks to herald the new year. So was standing like a schmuck and was totallly clueless when it was the new year!)

Sunrise in Angkor Wat, Cambodia (=Angkor Wat is overrated!! not as great as what it seems, unless you're into history, which is a different story altogether)

Friendship! or rather friendship?

It is perplexing as to how a single planet can give life to billions of people with billions of personalities. Each comes with his or her own different personality, wrapped in a totally different pacakage altogether. Some love to bask in the company of friends, some love to lead a solitary life; some enjoy the limelight, some prefer to keep a low-profile and stay away from the glares of others. And the list goes on. Yet no matter how different and how ineffable these characteristics of people may appear to be, one thing that totally eludes my understanding would be the simple understated fact of how ignorant people can be. A demented man who batters his wife into a pulp at a moment of rage, a pleasure-seeking yuppie who flounders in the throes of sex and drugs (thinking that that would make him happy)… Those are huge instances which stand to serve my point. Ironically that is not my point. For they lead their own lifes, subjected to their own joy and sorrow. What I’m trying to point out instead, is how saddening it can be when a person close to you, eg your best friend, chooses to do something that would not help to fortify a relationship. I know I’m mincing my words. But forthrightness will not do justice here. It’s just that when you are with someone through all the ups and downs, through thick and thin (pardon the cliched phrases), you, as noble as you might be, hope that the other person appreciates everything that you guys have weathered. Not appreciate you in exact terms, but to appreciate everything that has transpired between you both. The experiences you shared. The sweet and bitter. Everything. That’s why when someone chooses a different path on the pretext of sloth, it may appear to be a small thing. Yet gurgling beneath the surface would a potent force which leaves you in a quandary as to how much a relationship means to the other person. That is something that you’ll never be sure of. As a consolation, you know that no matter what, that person still is, and will be your best friend. No matter what.

And oh yeah. A post is something you write which expresses how you feel. anything. yet copying and pasting other's contents and throwing in a random statement ( for eg. i couldn't care less) counts for nothing. Yet you know what? i couldn't care less huh?

ok hi to members of this blog, got invited by byin to join this blog. first and foremost, my most recent pic at kawah putih, bandung, indonesia. for those who has forgotten where and what i'm studying right now...this is my biodata. chong wei hern... currently under jpa scholarship doing medic in university gadjah mada, yogyakarta, indonesia. still in my first year. my life now is pretty much about studying, memorising and learning medical skills. it's pretty hectic but i enjoy it a lot. my free time is normally after exam and that's when i completely release my inner self.

Just got back from an evening jog straight after class. Feels great to be able to cover a pretty long stretch. Wasn't easy when the temptation of stopping lies right in front of you. A step forward at a time. Clear your mind of thoughts. before you know it. poof! it's done.

A friend picked me up for lunch this afternoon. Four guys in a car. Went out for a meal. Ages since tasted chinese food. Had a haircut after that- all of us. Guess we four were the only business the hairdresser had for the whole day, considering the shabby place and hmmm... door was locked when we first knocked. She had this little cute son perched on the chair. 4years old. singing away to the nursery rhymes blaring from the tv. which kinda reminds me of how old i am. Her skills aint that great. RM8 for something average. but great in the sense that could ask her to remedy d style after it was finished. sorta felt like she was a personal barber.

Was out till 2 am+ yesterday. Went mamak with 2girls and my roomie. Was real lazy to go but my roomie mistakenly thought I wanted to go (which is a long story. he said i was asleep. i gave him the thumbs up as a gesture of thanks and thought that was a sign that i wanted to go). but it turned out ok. had a chat with the guys and they said i *desperately* needed a haircut and get rid of those specs. kena 'perli' d nite long....... ate a lot as usual (on a binge to get fat, which is still near failure) but wasn't full at all. Came back was real late. uni was empty and there's this eerie (or perhaps not) silence at night when everyone's asleep which evokes somthing philosophical deep within. hard to articulate but nights usually throw you with the huge question of the meaning of life (when it's really really dark and you feel tired yet not really sleepy at the same time).

Can't wait to go back this weekend. Yet hope to not have to take a bus. Damn 'mafan' and boring in the bus. Waiting to read more of your posts, hc. stilll can't wrap my head around what you're so busy with??!!

Well I'm the second to post after lene. But considering the length of her post(which cannot be defined as a post) guess I'm lucky number 1 then.

Hmm too long didn't write. Writing skills going down the drain.

Just started the new semester in Petronas Uni and missed the chance of meeting up with Cheng in KL- Always busy, can't go out, no transport and all those fuckin' lame reasons (referring to him not me!!) Uni's life a real bore if u happen to be studying here so totally enjoyed the weekends spent in KL. Considered a third AlorStarian, third Penangite and third KL-ian (Tronoh Ipoh not included in that equation if u realize).

Oh yeah, going traveling in June. fully booked unless somebody wanna tag along to Philippines?? sometime during the last week of June. Love traveling so peiloon wait for me there in japan n u2 'chi ko pek' in US. u all must sponsor my food and transportation k, that is after get enough money to get flight tickets. Lene u're save this time. went melbourned once. enough for now. haha. unless you're willing to sponsor flight tickets, since air asia not so expensive ahem...

Just make it a short post this time since life kinda un-happening these few days. A pic to see how much I've changed. The most recent pic taken.. hmmm....
